Georgia, Florida to play in Tampa and Atlanta in ’26 and ’27

One of the most storied rivalries in SEC history will be moving temporarily.
Georgia and Florida have agreed to play the 2026 and 2027 installments of their annual rivalry in Atlanta and Tampa, as EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville undergoes renovations.
The two teams have traditionally met in Jacksonville throughout the rivalry’s history, playing 86 of the last 88 overall meetings there. A lot of fans for both teams were wondering if the two games would be moved on-campus for 2026 and 2027 similar to what the two programs did in 1994 and 1995.
This won’t be the first time the game will be played in Tampa, as the two met there in 1919. However, this will be the first time in series history the game will be played in Atlanta. The Bulldogs are no stranger to Mercedes-Benz Stadium having played there 11 times since it opened in 2017.
The game will return to Jacksonville in 2028 according to Brett McMurphy of Stadium.
