Georgia offensive lineman Tate Ratledge will miss some time.
According to head coach Kirby Smart, the three-year starter, and All-SEC selection, suffered a sprained MCL and sprained ankle Saturday at Kentucky. It’s unlikely he can return for the big September 28 showdown with Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
No further timeline was offered, however, he is expected to return this season. Ratledge is a former four star and Top 100 recruit nationally and is projected to be the No. 4 Guard prospect in next year’s NFL Draft.
Junior Micah Morris and starting right tackle Xavier Truss are options to replace Ratledge at the guard position.
