Harold Perkins Jr. announces his return to LSU in 2025

Amid a flurry of transfer portal additions, LSU’s 2025 roster got a boost from within Friday.
Junior linebacker Harold Perkins announced he is returning in 2025. Perkins missed the final eight games of the 2024 season after suffering a torn ACL against UCLA in late September.

The Houston native has 13 career sacks and 164 tackles in three seasons. Early draft prognostications included Perkins as a potential first round selection prior to the injury. He was a second team All-SEC selection by the coaches in both 2022 and 2023.
Perkins led LSU in tackles in the season opener against USC. Because he only appeared in four games in 2024, he can use the season as a redshirt year.
