Jackson Arnold will enter the transfer portal

Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold will enter the transfer portal when it officially opens on December 9. The news was first reported from Max Olson of ESPN.
Arnold played in 10 games this season, starting seven for the Sooners. However, the sophomore season for the former blue chipper was largely considered a disappointing one. He finished the year with 186 yards of offense per game, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. Oklahoma’s offense struggled for most of the season and Jackson finished the year ranked last in the conference in passing yards, yards per attempt and quarterback passer rating.
Arnold is a former consensus five-star quarterback and was the No. 10 ranked prospect nationally in the 2023 cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He still has two years of eligibility remaining.
