Jaden Hill Called Up by Rockies

Former Tiger Jaden Hill got the call Thursday.
The Colorado Rockies, who selected Hill in the second round of the 2021 MLB Draft, selected the right hander’s contract from Triple-A Albuquerque where he spent the month of August.
This season with the Rockies’ Double-A and Triple-A affiliates, Hill has posted a 6-2 record with and earned run average of 4.57. He’s recorded 69 strikeouts in 45 1/3 innings of relief work.
Hill’s career at LSU was cut short due to an elbow injury in April of 2021. He also missed much of the 2019 season dealing with a shoulder issue. When he was healthy, he was dominant.
In the shortened 2020 season, Hill did not allow a run in 11 2/3 innings of work out of the bullpen. He struck out 17 batters and only allowed one hit.
Hill becomes the fourth former Tiger to debut in 2023, joining Paul Skenes, Hunter Feduccia and Dylan Crews.
