Jones, Anderson nab mid-season honors

Jared Jones and Kade Anderson have enjoyed huge seasons to the halfway point.

D1Baseball honored the Tiger duo with midseason All-American honors this week.

Jones was named the first team first baseman, and Anderson made the second team as a pitcher.

Through 30 games, Jones has posted a .404 batting average and slugged a team-high 11 home runs. He’s driven in 46 runs and walked 23 times to 22 strikeouts.

Anderson, the sophomore southpaw, is 5-0 with a 3.52 ERA. In 38.1 innings of work, he’s struck out 61 and walked just 10. LSU has won all seven of his starts.
