Josh Smith narrowly missed the American League All-Star team this summer.
He continued his hot hitting in the second half of the season and was recognized as a Silver Slugger winner Tuesday. Smith finished the 2024 season hitting .258 with a .337 on base percentage. He clubbed 13 home runs and added 30 doubles while driving in 62 runs.
Smith was recognized as a utility player as he appeared at third base, shortstop, second base and both corner outfield spots for the Texas Rangers. Smith starred at third base and shortstop during his three seasons at LSU.
