Kaleb Jackson focused on 2025, will not enter portal

Dozens of college football players have and will enter the transfer portal this week.
LSU running back Kaleb Jackson will not. He was directly asked about it Thursday morning and spoke definitively.
“No, I’m not going in,” Jackson said.
After a freshman season that showed flashes of greatness in a backup role, Jackson appeared primed for a breakout year as a sophomore in 2024. That breakout didn’t come. Jackson rushed for just 150 yards on the season without a single touchdown. Senior Josh Williams and freshman Caden Durham shouldered nearly the entire rushing load.
Williams has graduated, and Durham has missed time with a sprained ankle this spring. Jackson has taken the majority of the rushing reps for the Tigers.
He enters the summer in competition for the second running back spot behind Durham.
