NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers have released their final injury reports of the week, including game designations. Four Saints players have been ruled out, but two were expected to miss and the other pair were not on the active roster to begin the week. The big name to watch for New Orleans over the next couple of days will be wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who is questionable as he recovers from both an illness and chest injury.

Here is the information from this week’s Saints at Packers injury report:

New Orleans Saints

Out:

QB Derek Carr (Left Hand)

WR Chris Olave (Head)

WR Bub Means (Ankle)

RB Alvin Kamara (Groin)

Questionable:

WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Chest/Illness)

No Game Designation (good to go):

TE Juwan Johnson (Foot)

DE Chase Young (Illness)

No surprises here for the Saints. Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler will be back at the helm for the team as they travel to Green Bay. Meanwhile second-year running back Kendre Miller will lead the charge in the run game. But expect rushers Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims to be heavy contributors as well.

Valdes-Scantling’s illness was a bit of a setback for the wideout who was already working back from a chest injury. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi said that the team will see where he is on Sunday as they arrive in Green Bay in an attempt to get him on the field Monday night. The veteran wide receiver looked to quickly develop a good relationship with Rattler in the second half of last week’s game.

Means may not end up back on the field this season. Rizzi said that after bringing the wideout back a couple of weeks ago, the rookie experienced a setback. He has a few more days to progress, but if he is not able to, he will revert back to Injured Reserve for the rest of the season.

Green Bay Packers

Out:

LB Quay Walker (Ankle)

S Javon Bullock (Ankle)

Questionable:

CB Corey Balentine (Knee)

TE Luke Musgrave (Ankle)

CB Jaire Alexander (Knee)

S Evan Williams (Quadricep)

Alexander practiced in full all three days for the first time in three weeks, but is still questionable. It does seem likely that he is healthy enough to play, however. His availability may come down to the Packers’ evaluation of risk of re-injury versus that value he would bring on Monday night.

Williams was a late add with a quadricep injury now jeopardizing his availability for the week.
