The 25-year-old from Sweden finished with a 21-under 277, beating fellow rookie Akie Iwai by one stroke. Linblad carded a 4-under 68 in the final round, despite making the last of her six birdies on the par-5 11th. She parred the finals even holes.
She matched her final round 68 in rounds one and three and shot a 63 in Friday’s second round.
Linblad is the most decorated female golfer in LSU program history. She is a five-time All-American and three-time SEC Player of the Year. In 2020, she was named SEC Freshman of the Year and earned First Team All-SEC honors in each of her five seasons as a Tiger.
