Louisiana Natives to Lead ‘Who Dat’

08/25/2024
Who Dat Pregame

By Ross Jackson

Few teams in the NFL do a better job of representing its city and state than the New Orleans Saints. From smart branding to a strong focus on the local community, the connection between the Saints and Louisiana is one of the strongest in sports.

Sunday, the Saints will highlight their Louisiana-native players pregame by having them march out to midfield and lead the “Who Dat” pregame chant, an honor that usually one player gets to live out before each game.

Before their game against the Tennessee Titans, five players will take the field to rally the crowd in attendance. Safety Tyrann Matthieu, tight end Foster Moreau, wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr., running back Jacob Kibodi and safety Roderic Teamer will all take part in welcoming the Saints and their fans back to the Caesars Superdome.

Mathieu and Morgan Jr. both attended St. Augustine High School. Mathieu was a star and one of the most recognizable names at LSU while Morgan Jr. went to Nebraska to play out his college days, making a major impact for the Cornhuskers.

Moreau is a Jesuit High School grad who also attended LSU, and Teamer is a Brother Martin Crusader who played college ball at Tulane.

Kibodi, the only Baton Rouge native of the group, went to Christian Life Academy before attending Texas A&M and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent rookie this offseason.

The Saints and Titans conclude the preseason with a 1:00 kickoff on CBS.
