LSU adds hard-throwing River Hamilton

Power pitching has become vital to success in college baseball. LSU added some to its 2025 signing class late Tuesday.
River Hamilton, a 6-foot-3 190 lbs., right-handed pitcher from Woodville, Ore., pledged to the Tigers. Hamilton’s fastball has been clocked in the mid-90s, and Baseball America ranks him as the No. 53 prospect in their 2025 MLB Draft Rankings.
River Hamilton (’25, OR) K’d two in his shutout inning. Wiry/athletic 6-3/185. Real quick arm that ran the FB up to 95. Mixed in two breakers, a slurvy CB in the upper 70s and a tight/depthy SL at 81-83 (~2400 RPMs) that garnered some whiffs. #PGAAC #GoBeavs @PG_PacificNW pic.twitter.com/m4pey7RXA6

Originally, Hamilton was committed to Oregon State, but he flipped to the Tigers via his social media account.
