A day after transfer additions Anthony Eyanson and Daniel Dickinson lifted LSU to a postseason win, a big-time transfer for 2026 is headed LSU’s way.
On Saturday, LSU nabbed a commitment from Brayden Simpson, an infielder from High Point. Simpson reflected the commitment on his personal X account.
Simpson was named first team All-Big South this season, hitting .389 with 22 home runs and 77 runs driven in. He also stole 14 bases and posted a gaudy 1.250 OPS playing third base primarily.
LSU’s infield figures to lose Dickinson and Jared Jones to the MLB Draft after the season, and Michael Braswell is out of eligibility. Simpson just completed his junior season and will have one year of eligibility left. He is draft eligible this season.
