LSU adds Ron Zipper from Israel to complete roster

LSU’s second addition in as many days will round out the 2025-26 basketball roster.

And this one comes from overseas.

Matt McMahon and the Tigers secured a commitment from Ron Zipper, a 6-foot-4 guard from Israel, on Saturday according to Matthew Brune of On3.

Zipper has played four years of professional basketball in Israel and averaged 11.1 points per game this past season.

Earlier this spring, LSU introduced former Tiger Ronald Dupree as the program’s general manager. Dupree served as the director of foreign scouting for the Milwaukee Bucks and promised to use his relationships overseas to acquire talent at LSU.

That promise is already being delivered on with Zipper’s addition. The Israeli guard is LSU’s eighth upperclassman additional this offseason to pair with three true freshmen arriving this summer.
