Green was a 2022 Under Armour All American and consensus four-star prospect when he signed with the Aggies. After a breakout freshman season where he played in ten games with four starts, Green missed the 2023 season after suffering a knee injury in fall camp. He did not record a statistic in 2024, despite playing in seven games.
LSU is replacing Mason Taylor, the program’s all-time leading receiver among tight ends, who declared for the NFL Draft. The Tigers have also seen four tight ends enter the transfer portal the past two seasons.
Five-star Trey’Dez Green returns for his sophomore season, while the Tigers added two other tight ends this offseason. Former Oklahoma tight end Bauer Sharp signed with the LSU out of the transfer portal and four-star JD LaFleur is a member of the 2025 high school signing class.
Green has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
