LSU has new five-star in updated On3 rankings
11/18/2024
On3 updated their Top 300 player rankings Monday, and several LSU commitments and targets saw a jump in their ranking. There are 25 five-stars in the latest rankings, and LSU currently has commitments from four of them with a potential fifth in Edna Karr defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart.
The two biggest risers were cornerbacks DJ Pickett and Kade Philllips. Pickett, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound prospect from Zephyrhills, Florida, moved from No. 9 to No. 6 overall. Phillips saw a huge change in his ranking, as the 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back from Missouri City, Texas, climbed 26 spots from No. 49 to No. 23 nationally.
LSU is tied with Ohio State for the most committed five-stars in the class with four. They are also one of five schools to have multiple five stars committed in the 2025 cycle along with Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, and Georgia.
There are currently only two uncommitted five stars in the class. A pair of 6-foot-5, 270 pound defensive lineman in Justus Terry and Jahkeem Stewart. Terry is projected as a near lock to sign with Georgia. Stewart is a local product from Louisiana who reclassified from the 2026 class earlier this fall. His three biggest suitors are LSU, Oregon, and Ohio State with the Tigers holding a decisive advantage to land the blue chip player with an On3 prediction of 67.2 percent.
With the latest rankings and 26 commitments in the 2025 class, LSU currently has the No. 3 ranked class nationally.
