LSU DE target visiting Clemson
12/13/2024

One of LSU’s top defensive transfer targets is still testing the market.
Purdue edge rusher Will Heldt will visit Clemson this weekend. Heldt recorded 68 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and five sacks in 24 career games with Purdue. All of those tackles for loss and sacks came in 2024.
He could become the first defensive transfer signed by Dabo Swinney in the entire portal era. He would be just the fourth transfer player all-time to land with the Tigers.
Though Swinney balked at the notion the transfer portal was a key piece to roster management for years. It appears Clemson is joining the fray.
Heldt is also reported to be considering Texas A&M among other schools.
