LSU offers ’27 top QB prospect Elijah Haven

It might have seemed like a formality, but LSU extended a scholarship offer Friday to Elijah Haven, the No. 1 quarterback for 2027.
Haven is a 6-foot-4, 205 pound sophomore at the Dunham School in Baton Rouge, La. The On3 Composite ranks Haven as the top signal caller in the class while 247 Sports rates him as the No. 1 overall prospect at any position.
LSU offensive coordinator Joe Sloan attended Haven’s game Thursday night and extended the offer Friday.

The hometown Tigers become Haven’s sixth formal offer, joining Ole Miss, Baylor, Florida, Texas Tech and Miami.
There are no shortage of options under center in the 2027 class for LSU. Colton Nussmeier, the younger brother of current LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, is the No. 3 quarterback in the class. Another in-state prospect, Malachi Zeigler of Benton, La., is ranked fifth.
LSU currenty has a commitment from the No. 1 player in the 2025 class, Bryce Underwood from Belleville, Mich.
