BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU reserve offensive lineman Tyree Adams has had successful sports hernia surgery, Brian Kelly confirmed Thursday. Adams posted a photo Wednesday on his Instagram announcing the successful surgery.

Adams was dressed out for the Ole Miss game last Saturday. According to Pro Football Focus, Adams has played 79 total snaps on the season (51 OL, 28 FG/PAT) but did not see the field against the Rebels. The redshirt freshman from New Orleans emerged during fall camp as LSU’s sixth offensive lineman, taking reps at both guard and tackle. He is the primary backup to Will Campbell at left tackle. In 2023, his lone action came in the Tigers win over Army.
During fall camp, the second offensive line unit included Adams, Paul Mubenga, Coen Echols, Bo Bordelon and Weston Davis.
LSU travels to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks Saturday at 6 p.m.
