LSU pitcher to miss 2025 season with torn ACL
10/09/2024

LSU will be without one of its top incoming transfer pitchers this year.
Mount St. Mary’s transfer Deven Sheerin tore his ACL during the summer and will not be available to pitch in 2025.
The 6-foot-5, 245 lbs. right hander was the No. 8 transfer in the country according to Baseball America. Last season he racked up 109 strikeouts in 70 innings of work for Mount St. Mary’s en route to becoming the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year.
He led the MAAC in strikeouts and figured to compete for significant innings on a retooling LSU pitching staff in 2025.
