LSU ranked No. 50 in initial NET rankings

Bubble watch is officially on.

The NCAA released the season’s first college basketball NET rankings on Monday, and LSU came in at No. 50.

The Tigers are 0-1 in Quadrant 1 having lost to Pittsburgh (No. 5) on a neutral floor. The road win at Kansas State (No. 94) and the neutral site win over UCF (No. 84) each categorized as Quadrant 2 victories. All of LSU’s home wins thus far are in Quadrant 4. LSU’s strength of schedule early on ranks 124^th in the country.

The Tigers will host No. 67 Florida State on Tuesday.

Four SEC teams ranked in the Top 10 with Tennessee and Auburn coming in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. LSU ranked 11^th as far as SEC teams go.

The rankings will be updated daily until Selection Sunday March 16.
