BATON ROUGE, La. — A flurry of post-signing day roster news continued when LSU safety Kylin Jackson announced via Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he will ener the Transfer Portal. Jackson is the seventh LSU player planning to test the transfer market when the portal window opens Monday, Dec. 9.

Jackson, a 6-foot-3, 200 pound safety from Clinton, La., played in 17 games for the Tigers over his two seasons in Baton Rouge. All of his action came in a reserve role, where he recorded five total tackles. Because he played in five games as a freshman, Jackson will only have two years of eligibility remaining at his new destination.
The LSU safety room could be headed for a near complete overhaul. Senior Major Burns is out of eligibility while Sage Ryan and Jardin Gilbert could opt to return for a fifth season. Freshman Dashawn Spears played in 12 games with three starts and could be in line for a larger role in 2025.
The Tigers will likely be looking for immediate impact help in the transfer portal.
