LSU-SMU announce 2028-29 matchups

LSU announces a home-and-home with SMU, a 2024 College Football Playoff team.
The Tigers will take on SMU in a home-and-home series in 2028 and 2029 the schools announced Monday.

SMU will visit Tiger Stadium Sept. 2, 2028. LSU will head to Dallas for a Sept 1, 2029, game.
The schools have not met since 1934.
Last season, SMU used its first year in the ACC and a springboard to the first 12-team College Football Playoff. The Mustangs went 11-3 with a loss at Penn State in the opening round of the CFP.
