LSU stands No. 56 in latest NET rankings

After a 2-0 week, LSU tumbled six spots in the latest NET rankings.
The Tigers toppled Florida State and Florida Gulf Coast in Baton Rouge. The Seminoles currently rank No. 81 in the NET. Florida Gulf Coast stands at No. 153. LSU ranks No. 56.
The SEC has posted a remarkable 126-19 non-conference record thus far, comfortably placing the conference as the No. 1 NET conference.
The league boasts five teams in the NET Top 10, Tennessee (1), Auburn (2), Kentucky (5), Florida (7), and Alabama (10).
LSU’s No. 56 ranking stands 14th in the SEC. Only Texas (64) and South Carolina (98) rank lower.
Because of the dominance of the SEC, every league game will take on massive significance. Currently a road game at every school but South Carolina would qualify as a Quadrant 1 opportunity. Currently eight SEC teams rank in the Top 30 making home games against all eight a Quadrant 1 game.
LSU will take the week off for final exams and return to action Saturday in Frisco, Tx. against SMU.
