BATON ROUGE, La. — Anthony Eyanson will start on the mound for LSU against Little Rock on Friday.
The junior right-hander has pitched in game twos all season, but head coach Jay Johnson has decided to hand him the ball on Friday afternoon.
Eyanson is 9-2 on the season with a 2.77 ERA. In 84.1 innings, he’s struck out 125 and walked just 31. Last week he was used out of the bullpen on Friday of the SEC Tournament where he closed out the Tigers’ win over Texas A&M throwing 46 pitches.
Little Rock is countering with ace right-hander Jackson Wells who is 3-6 with a 5.24 ERA this season but lead all of Division 1 in ERA back in 2023.
