McCoy, McKinstry questionable for Saints against Browns

By Ross Jackson
NEW ORLEANS —The Week 11 matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns is on the way this Sunday. During the game, New Orleans will be without at least two pieces on offense. However, a huge return is in store for the offensive line that could make a massive difference for the unit against a talented and disruptive Cleveland defense.
Here is the information from the final Week 11 injury report for the Saints and Browns:
New Orleans Saints
Out:
RB Jamaal Williams (Groin)
G Lucas Patrick (Ankle)
Questionable:
WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (Shoulder)
RB Kool-Aid McKinstry (Hamstring)
LB Pete Werner (Hand)
LB Nephi Sewell (Knee)
S J.T. Gray (Hip)
C Erik McCoy (Groin)
No Game Designation (Good To Go):
S Jordan Howden (Shoulder)
While he is listed as questionable, McCoy is expected to make his return on Sunday, per Interim Head Coach Darren Rizzi. That is a huge boost to the Saints offensive line which has been decimated with injuries all throughout the season so far. They won’t have their full complement back just yet, however, with Patrick ruled out.
Rizzi also said that the team will take things all the way down to game time with Werner and Sewell. The two linebackers continued to progress this week with Sewell working his way back from Injured Reserve. Meanwhile, Werner suffered a hand injury that has had him practicing with varying sizes of braces and clubs on his right hand all week.
The secondary could see a boost this weekend for New Orleans with the potential return of rookie cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry. He will be another key name to watch leading up to Sunday’s kickoff.
Cleveland Browns
Out:
DT Mike Hall (Knee)
No Game Designation (Good To Go):
G Joel Bitonio (Pectoral)
LB Jordan Hicks (Elbow/Triceps)
WR Jerry Jeudy (Knee)
QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (Right Finger)
T Jedrick Wills (Knee)
The Browns will be very healthy. The only player that has been ruled out is defensive tackle Mike Hall, a player that they have become accustomed to being without as he missed the first several games of the season.
Cleveland will otherwise be without starting linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. The former Notre Dame linebacker was placed on Injured Reserve with a neck injury recently. He will be unavailable for this week’s matchup with the Saints.
