09/22/2024
Malik Nabers re-wrote the LSU record books for three seasons. Now he’s doing it in the NFL.
On Sunday Nabers became the youngest wide receiver in NFL history to catch two touchdowns in the same game. Both scores came in the closing two minutes of the first half.
Nabers skied to haul in a Daniel Jones pass in the back corner of the endzone, tapping both feet in bounds as he fell to the ground. It put New York in front of Cleveland, 14-7.

Cleveland would fumble on the ensuing drive, allowing the Giants a chance to add to the lead before the half. Jones zipped a throw to Nabers who snagged it in the back of the endzone.

That proved to be the winning score as the Browns were only able to come up with eight second half points.
Nabers led the way for the Giants with eight catches for 78 yards and the two scores.
According to ESPN Stats and Info, Nabers is the first player in league history with 20 catches and three touchdowns in his first three games as a professional.
LSU’s all time receptions and receiving yards leader is off to quite the start.
