The latest AP Men’s Top 25 poll has been released, marking the first rankings following the start of SEC conference play.
Last week saw minimal movement, with 16 of the 25 spots remaining unchanged, including the top 13 teams overall. This week, the top five remained steady. However, the remaining 20 spots experienced significant shifts, with only one team holding its position and three new teams entering the poll.
Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama retained their places in the top five. Kentucky made the biggest jump, climbing to No. 6 after a win over Florida, which dropped the Gators to No. 8. Texas A&M also cracked the top 10 following a 20-point victory over archrival Texas.
In total, nine SEC teams made the rankings. Mississippi State, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss landed at Nos. 14, 17, and 23, respectively. Arkansas dropped out of the poll after a 24-point loss to Tennessee. Four other teams received votes.
