Numbers to Know: SEC Week 9

SEC referees and the heights and weights on a roster may lie, but numbers never do. It was a slow week in the SEC with several teams on bye weeks, but there were still some incredible performances and record-setting statistics from Saturday’s action. Here are the Numbers to Know from the SEC in Week 10:
69: It’s been 69 years since Vanderbilt beat Alabama and Auburn in the same year.
2: Jaxson Dart became the second quarterback in SEC history to have over 500 yards passing and six touchdowns in a single game.
13: LSU-Alabama will be featured for the 13th time on ESPN’s College Gameday. That’s tied for the most of any matchup in the show’s history.
36: Tennessee beat Kentucky for the 36th time in the last 39 years.
286: Texas A&M allowed 286 yards rushing against South Carolina. That’s the third most in a single game the Aggies have allowed in the last eight years.
698.5: Average offensive yards by Ole Miss in their last two games against Arkansas in Fayetteville
19: Total Rushing Touchdowns from Tennessee RB Dylan Sampson, which is a program record
22-22-1: All-time series record between Vanderbilt and Auburn
27: Oklahoma’s win against Maine helped them avoid their 3rd consecutive home loss for the first time in 27 years.
1-3: Texas A&M’s record against Power Four opponents when ranked as a top ten team since 2021. The one win was 10-7 vs Colorado in 2021.
4-of-5: Carson Beck has thrown two or more interceptions in four of his last five games.
11: Carson Beck has thrown 11 interceptions in his last five games. That’s more than any Georgia quarterback has thrown in an entire season in the last nine years.
48-0: Kirby Smart and Georgia are 48-0 in the last four years against teams not named Alabama.
11: Eleven total SEC teams rank 81st or worse in the country in total penalties this season including five teams who rank worse than 110th.
