BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU and Alabama can’t clinch a playoff berth next Saturday when they meet in Tiger Stadium, but the loser will most certainly be eliminated from contention. The early lines have been posted at several sportsbooks and oddsmakers are split on who to favor.

ESPN Bet favors LSU by two while Draft Kings, BetMGM and Bet365 all have LSU minus-1.5. Caesars has the game a pick. On the other hand, FanDuel and Bet Rivers have Alabama a 2.5-point favorite.

Both teams have struggled against the spread this season.  LSU failed to cover the first four weeks. The Tigers are 3-5 ATS, having covered three straight before falling at Texas A&M as a slight favorite last weekend. Alabama is 4-4 ATS, but is just 1-3 in their last four against the number.

Alabama has won three of the last five against the Tigers. LSU toppled the Tide two seasons ago in Baton Rouge on a dramatic two-point conversion in overtime.

The rivals will meet a week from Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
