Ole Miss adds Washington State to 2025 schedule

Ole Miss has added Washington State to its 2025 football schedule, hosting the Cougars on Oct. 11 of next year.
The Rebels were scheduled to host Wake Forest in the second game of a home-and-home series, but the Demon Deacons backed out of the game last month. Ole Miss defeated the Demon Deacons in Winston Salem, 40-6.
“I find it really amazing that you wait until the week of the game to tell the team,” Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin said on the incident. “I mean if they thought they were going to disrupt us and [Wake Forest athletic director] John Currie was like, ‘Oh, we’re going to tell them the week of and disrupt them.’ So maybe that was their game plan.”
This will be the first meeting ever between Ole Miss and Washington State and only the second Pac 12 team they’ve faced in program history. The Rebels played a home-and-home series with Cal in 2017 and 2019. Kiffin has faced Washington State three times total on the field, once as a player and twice as the head coach at Southern Cal. He has a career 1-2 record in those games.
