Parker, West Weeks out for LSU versus Ole Miss

LSU released its injury report on Wednesday, and some notable names will miss this weekend’s game with Ole Miss.
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Kyle Parker has been ruled out. Parker left the season opener after injuring his UCL. He returned against UCLA and hauled in his first career touchdown catch.
When junior wide out Chris Hilton suffered a bone bruise in his foot during training camp, Parker was inserted into the starting lineup. While Parker will not play against Ole Miss, Hilton is listed as questionable. Brian Kelly said on Wednesday that Hilton’s injury has been slower to heal than projected back in August. He has yet to play.
Adding to the injury concerns at wide receiver is the questionable status of senior CJ Daniels. The Liberty transfer has made 20 catches on the year for 239 yards.
LSU’s receiving corps will likely have to lean on senior Kyren Lacy as well as Aaron Anderson and Zavion Thomas. Tight end Mason Taylor has also contributed heavily in the passing game.
At linebacker, LSU’s depth continues to be tested. After junior Harold Perkins was lost for the season, West Weeks missed time in September. Weeks has been ruled out for Saturday, meaning his brother Whit Weeks and Greg Penn will take the lion’s share of the repetitions at inside linebacker. Freshmen Xavier Atkins and Devhon Keys could be next up.
LSU and Ole Miss are set to kick off at 6:30 on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
