PFF grades the SEC quarterbacks after Week 14

A Sunday morning tradition unlike any other, PFF has released their post-Week 14 grades for SEC Quarterbacks for the 2024 season. Rivalry week brought tons of chaos and multiple on field melees, but oddly enough it only brought one change in the SEC quarterback rankings from PFF. That’s the fewest of any week this season.

The top three players remained unchanged with Jaxson Dart maintaining his top three ranking nationally for the 14th consecutive week. Jalen Milroe somehow went up three spots with his national ranking despite having three turnovers, again. Taylen Green stayed put at No. 3 in the SEC finishing the season with nearly 280 total yards per game and 20 touchdowns.

Behind the top three, Garrett Nussmeier remained at No. 4 but was tied with Diego Pavia. Nothing against Pavia, but the one metric PFF clearly doesn’t account for is grit. Nussmeier exited the game against Oklahoma in the first half. He was taken to the locker room sans shoulder pads and jersey. He returned with pads, his jersey and a Superman cape. Nussmeier completed his first ten passes back from injury for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Everyone else on the list had the same ranking as the previous week except one. LaNorris Sellers continues to be the most disrespectfully ranked quarterback in the league by Pro Football Focus. Sellers almost single-handedly beat Clemson. The freshman had 330 yards of total offense and became the only Power Four quarterback with over 150 yards passing and 150 yards rushing in the same game this season. Also, according to PFF, he forced 18 missed tackles which is the most by a quarterback in any game in the ten years the service has existed.

That garnered him jumping up a total of one spot over Marcel Reed to No. 11 overall in the SEC. I simply don’t get it. Regardless, here are the SEC Quarterback Grades through week 14.
