Record-setting Rebels roll Arkansas, 63-31

Fayetteville has been a disastrous destination for Ole Miss over the last two decades. Not Saturday.
Lane Kiffin’s Rebels rewrote the record book and shredded the Arkansas defense for 694 yards and 63 points in a beatdown of the Razorbacks at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
Wide receiver Jordan Watkins hauled eight catches for a pair of school records, 254 yards and five touchdowns. Not to be outdone, quarterback Jaxson Dart threw for 515 yards and led the Rebels on the ground with 47 more. His 562 total yards broke Archie Manning’s 55-year-ole record.
Ole Miss had lost six of seven games at Arkansas but were never threatened on Saturday. The Rebels used a 28-point second quarter and 21 more in the third to put the Hogs away.
Ole Miss got the scoring going with a sack and forced fumble from Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green who was trying to throw out of his own endzone. Princely Umanmielen fell on it for the touchdown.
A hobbled Green and backup quarterback Malachi Singleton combined to throw for 365 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace with the Rebels.
Ole Miss improved to 7-2 on the season and will host No. 2 Georgia in Oxford next week. Arkansas is 5-4 and will try again to reach bowl eligibility when old Southwest Conference rival Texas visits in two weeks.
