Report: Costello, Hogg II enter transfer portal

As LSU prepares to play for its season on Monday, two members of the roster are headed elsewhere.
Ryan Costello, a freshman first baseman from Howell, N.J., and David Hogg II, an infielder from Mansfield, Tex., have entered the transfer portal according to reports from Pete Nakos of On3 and John Eads of WAFB.
Costello played in 15 games this season, failing to record a hit in eight at bats.

Perfect Game ranked Costello the No. 2 first baseman in the 2024 high school class and the No. 92 player overall. Costello stands 6-foot-3 and profiles as a power bat.
Hogg saw action in 12 games and went 0-for-2 at the plate. Perfect Game ranked the Texan as the No 79 player in the country and No. 21 shortstop in his high school class.
