Report: Dejounte Murray fractures hand, will miss time
10/24/2024
A dazzling debut turned disastrous on Wednesday night.
In his first game as a New Orleans Pelican, Dejounte Murray scored 14 points and dished out 10 assists. He also grabbed eight rebounds, pulling himself within two of a triple double.
With two minutes to play, Murray fell and came up shaking his wrist. He was able to go the free throw line a minute later but left the game with a minute to play. Now it appears he could miss significant time.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Murray fractured his left hand on the fall.
The Pelicans topped the Chicago Bulls to win their season opener and will now hit the road for a four game trip that begins with two games in Portland Friday and Sunday.
