Report: Ewers expected to start for Texas despite injury

Quinn Ewers is expected to start for Texas Saturday night at Texas A&M despite battling a lingering ankle sprain, according to an ESPN report. Ewers is listed as probable on the latest participation report.
The Longhorns quarterback suffered the injury last week in a win over Kentucky and has been rehabbing all week, accoring to coach Steve Sarkisian. Backup quarterback Arch Manning could see snaps agaisnt the Aggies, in particular on certain run packages. Manning started two games earlier this season after Ewers suffered an oblique injury.
Texas is favored by 4.5 points in the first matchup of the in-state rivals since 2011. Texas A&M joined the SEC the following season, ending the annual matchup.
