Florida Gators men’s basketball coach Todd Golden has been accused of sexual harassment and stalking accoring to a recent report from Florida’s student newspaper.
Golden, who is in his third season as the head coach in Gainesville, is the subject of a formal Title IX complaint that includes allegations of sexual harassment, stalking, and sexual exploitation.
“At first, it starts off slow, like, ‘Oh, wow. That’s odd. This guy is showing us attention,’” one alleged victim told the newspaper. “And then it becomes, ‘Wow, he’s kind of crossing a line. No, he didn’t mean it that way.’ Then it’s, ‘Wait, he’s fully stepping over that line.’ And then it’s, ‘Wow, there’s a picture of his d*ck.’ It was a full grooming process with all of us.”
The University’s administration hasn’t commented on the report due to federal law preventing the confirmation of or commenting on the Title IX processes.
Florida has started this season 2-0 through their first week. The 39-year-old has a 99-65 head coaching record overall and has been 42-29 as the head man at Florida.
