Report: LSU WR Chris Hilton to debut against Aggies

Perhaps the most anticipated debut for the 2024 LSU football team finally aprpeas imminent.

Junior wide receiver Chris Hilton will play Saturday night at Texas A&M, accoring to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Additionally, Thamel notes that CJ Daniels is a game time decision.

Hilton suffered a lower leg injury near the end of fall camp and has yet to play this season. He dressed for the home game against UCLA in September, but did not see any action. Daniels missed the Ole Miss game with a knee injury but returned in last week’s win over Arkansas. Late in that game, he took a hard hit to the head and left the game. Brian Kelly has listed Daniels as “questionable” on the team’s official injury report.

Should Hilton return, he would add a different dimension to the LSU passing attack. The speedy wideout is seen as someone who can stretch the field. Redshirt freshman Kyle Parker replced Hilton earlier this season but was lost for the year with an elbow injury.

LSU and Texas A&M are the last two undefeated teams in SEC play. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
