Report: Saints to host dinner with several Georgia players

By Ross Jackson
NEW ORLEANS, La. – In addition to the New Orleans Saints’ ongoing tour of college pro days, the team is pulling together additional time to meet with players as they travel from school to school. On Wednesday night’s menu? Dinner with several players from a premiere SEC program.
Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, the Saints are having dinner with “several Georgia players” Wednesday night. Among them, Underhill names defensive end Mykel Williams and wide receiver Arian Smith.
Williams, in particular, is a player that is often paired with the Saints due to his frame (6-foot-5, 260 pounds) and athleticism as an edge rusher. He matches the team’s often relied upon prototype at the position.

Smith, on the other hand, is a lighter receiver (6-foot, 179 pounds), but ran one of the fastest 40-yard dashes at the 2025 NFL Combine at 4.39. He also added outstanding explosive metrics with a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-7 broad jump.

While those two players were named, numerous others would make sense. Georgia has a lot of players that will rank at or close to the top of their position groups in this year’s class. New Orleans should be interested in many of them.
