Report: Saints WR coach Keith Williams staying put

By Ross Jackson
After just one year with the New Orleans Saints, wide receivers coach Keith Williams’ future was hanging in the balance as the Saints hired a new head coach. Now, that future is settled and it’s good news for Williams and his wideouts.
Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, Williams will be retained on staff in New Orleans as the wide receivers coach by new head coach Kellen Moore.
Williams was brought in last year after the team moved on from former wide receivers coach Kodi Burns and was one of the better hires of the offensive staff rebuild that took place ahead of the 2024 season. His ability to relate to and get the best out of his players was easy to see on the practice field and he received rave reviews from his players.
The former wide receiver has been coaching the position since 2009, in both college and the pros, and has brought some innovative practices along with him, including the introduction of rugby balls into practice.
Keeping Williams on staff is sure to be a very popular decision by Moore. Receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, who are both currently set to be the top options at the position again in 2025, barring big additions this offseason, have a lot of trust in Williams and his approach.
This is a major win for the Saints and Moore.
