Report: South Carolina’s Dylan Stewart negotiating major NIL deal

Dylan Stewart has been as advertised and then some in his true freshman season in Columbia.

Now the former five-star is going to get paid like it. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Stewart is negotiating an NIL package worth at least $1 million dollars to make sure he stays in Columbia for his sophomore season.

Stewart was a consensus five-star in the 2024 recruiting cycle and ranked in the Top 25 nationally by every major recruiting service. He chose South Carolina over Ohio State and Miami while holding over 35 offers from all around the country.

So far this season he’s accounted for 5.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

South Carolina’s NIL Collective “Garnet Trust”, is beginning negotiations with Stewart and his representatives now before the transfer portal opens in a month. There’s no word yet on the specific details, but it’s also worth noting that beginning in July of 2025, revenue sharing will begin across college athletics with schools being allowed to share $20.5 million dollars amongst athletes.
