Texas will have a key offensive piece available when it takes on Arizona State in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals Wednesday. Isaiah Bond will play for the No. 5 seed Longhorns in the Peach Bowl against the fourth-seeded Sun Devils, according to a report from ESPN’s Peter Thamel.

Bond injured his ankle prior to the SEC Championship game and missed the Longhorns opening round game of the College Football Playoff against Clemson. The junior wideout, and Alabama transfer, has 33 catches for 532 yards and five touchdowns this season.
Bond is no stranger to the playoff. He caught four passes for 47 yards for Alabama last year in their Rose Bowl game against Michigan. He’s the second starter that will make their return for Texas this postseason as left tackle Kelvin Banks returned against Clemson after sitting out the SEC Championship Game against Georgia.
Texas and Arizona State kick off at Noon CT on New Year’s Day from Atlanta.
