Report: Vrabel to meet with Jets

As the NFL head coaching carousel begins to spin, competition is already emerging for a candidate expected to be high on New Orleans’ list.
Per ESPN’s Rich Cimini, the New York Jets will be interviewing former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel on Friday.
Vrabel, a name often connected to the Saints ahead of their search, was on a consulting agreement with the Cleveland Browns in 2024. His contract expired earlier in the week, making him immediately available for interviews. The Jets are the first reported team he will take an interview with, but they almost certainly will not be the last.
The Saints are likely to have a healthy amount of competition if the three-time Super Bowl champion NFL linebacker is indeed in their sights.
The Jets are likely to be in on another candidate that many expect to be under consideration in New Orleans–Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
Glenn, a former defensive backs coach for the Saints, was a first-round selection with the Jets and spent the majority of his playing career there. That connective tissue should bring about at least a look from the Jets on another one of New Orleans’ top options.
