It became apparent that the tackle, who had battled a degenerative knee issue throughout his playing career, was on his way to retirement after he did not appear in a single game during the 2024 season. Things solidified in January of this year when his base salary was reduced to veteran minimum, a clear signal that calling it a career was on the way for the former Wisconsin Badger.
Ramczyk officially announced his retirement in April.

After his retirement is processed, the Saints will save $1.255 million against the salary cap. That goes on top of the $16.7 million they already saved with the aforementioned base salary reduction.
Running back Alvin Kamara is now the final player remaining on the Saints’ roster from the team’s stellar 2017 draft class.
Ramczyk will finish his career as one of the best offensive lineman to don the black and gold. He appeared in 101 career games after becoming an immediate starter during his 2017 rookie season. Per Pro Football Focus, the tackle allowed just 22 sacks across 4,028 pass blocking snaps.
