Saban Picks LSU to CFP

Former LSU and Alabama head coach Nick Saban made his 2024 debut on ESPN College Gameday earlier Saturday.

He and the rest of the on-air analysts made their College Football Playoff predictions for the upcoming season. College football’s greatest ever coach had a lot of love for his former employer, predicting LSU to be one of the 12 teams to make this year’s College Football Playoff.

“The two teams that haven’t been talked about are Penn State and LSU, Saban said. “I think Garett Nussmeier is gonna be one of the all-time sleepers in college football this year at quarterback. LSU always has skill guys, talk about all the receivers they lost. You could shake a tree in Louisiana and get a guy to fall out.”
