Saints could play international game in 2025

Nothing’s for sure yet, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on. The NFL has been trickling out news around its international games for 2025 this offseason, and one team playing abroad is on the New Orleans Saints’ road schedule.
On Friday morning, the Miami Dolphins announced via their social media channels that they will play a home game in Madrid, Spain this upcoming season.
The Dolphins are a road opponent for the Saints this year, as part of their scheduled formula has them battling it out with the AFC East.
That means that the Saints and Dolphins game could be an international one, and could be the first time the Saints have played an international series game that doesn’t take place in London.
It would also be the second time the Saints and Dolphins have squared off outside the United States. The two met in 2017 in London, where the Saints won 20-0 at Wembley Stadium. The Dolphins were the home team in that bout as well.
New Orleans has not played an international match since 2022, a thrilling 28-25 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
