Saints-Cowboys Friday Injury Report

Despite not practicing the entire week with a hamstring injury designation, New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore is listed as questionable ahead of the team’s Week 2 game. With a big matchup upcoming against the Dallas Cowboys, having Lattimore on the field would be a huge benefit to the Saints, however it remains to be seen if he will actually be able to play through his injury, or if it will be worth it for the team to decide to risk further complications. 

The good thing for New Orleans is that its top corner has a lot of experience in their system and therefore could potentially play without practice time. But with missing so much of camp this offseason, conditioning could be a consideration – though that did not look to be an issue Week 1 outside of the hamstring injury.

Similarly, rookie starting left tackle Taliese Fuaga is also questionable despite missing the last two practices of the week with what head coach Dennis Allen referred to as “back tightness.” Which he highlighted was not a serious concern, but could be enough to hold him out of this week’s game. Allen said that the team will look to see where Fuaga is Saturday and Sunday before making a final call on his participation.
