Health looks to be holding for the New Orleans Saints. That’s great news for them as they soon depart for their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Saints are almost certain now to see some big returns to their offense, starting with the offensive line.
Here are the players not seen during the portion of Saints practice open to the media:
QB Derek Carr (Oblique)
WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (Hip)
G Nick Saldiveri (Shoulder)
DT Kendal Vickers
Offensive linemen Lucas Patrick and Cesar Ruiz were again present and participating. That means the team looks like they will indeed have two of their three recently absent interior linemen back. Wide receiver Chris Olave and tight end Taysom Hill were also present and participating again today as well, setting their course to be active on Sunday.
These are major returns for New Orleans on offense, but the defense looks like it will get some reinforcements as well. Linebacker Pete Werner and defensive tackle Khalen Saunders should make their way back to the field for the unit.
Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler will start his third game of his rookie career. This time around, New Orleans looks to get a real assessment of the young passer with more weapons around him and protection around him.
