Saints’ Jordan named 2025 Bart Starr award winner

Already the New Orleans Saints’ Walter Payton Man of the Year Award nominee, defensive end Cam Jordan has been named the recipient of the 2025 Bart Starr Award, the team announced Thursday.
The Bart Star Award commemorates “outstanding character, integrity and leadership on and off the football field.”
Jordan is one of a few notable New Orleans Saints to win the award, including former quarterback Drew Brees and linebacker Demario Davis, who recently received the honor in 2021. Davis shared his praise of Jordan via the team’s press release.
“Since arriving in New Orleans, Cam has been more than just a teammate – he’s been a brother, a confidant, and a constant source of light,” said Davis. “His leadership extends far beyond the field – he inspires through his actions, his words, and his dedication to making others better. Whether rallying the team, serving the community, or offering a listening ear, Cam embodies the qualities of a true leader – someone who stands firm in his values and brings out the best in everyone fortunate enough to walk alongside him.”
In addition to his contributions on the field, Jordan is actively involved in giving back to the New Orleans community. Founded to create positive change in children’s lives and better the community, The Cam Jordan Foundation partners with organizations like the Youth Empowerment Project and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It focuses on providing resources, youth development initiatives, and hosting innovative experiences to foster growth and opportunity for young people.
In addition to annual turkey giveaways and back to school supply donations, Jordan’s foundation also hosts youth sports camps for underserved children. His most recent notable act of compassion was to make a significant contribution to support those most impacted by the terrorist attack in the French Quarter.
The award will be presented to Jordan during the Super Bowl Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The event will begin at 8 a.m.
